But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school-archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away. And sure, he caught her in his powerfully corded arms like a romance novel hero when she accidentally damseled in distress on her first day in the lab. Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward. Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project-a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia-Marie would accept without hesitation. □ LOVE ON THE BRAIN by Ali Hazelwoodįrom the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis-with explosive results. I also love that this is being described as a “STEMinist rom-com.” I have a major love for STEM heroines so I think it’s safe to say that STEMinist rom-coms are my jam. I’m in love with Bee already, just from reading the synopsis and can’t wait to watch the sparks fly between her and her archenemy, Levi. Given the popularity of the first book in the series, The Love Hypothesis, I have a feeling that Love on the Brain is going to be a much anticipated read for many romance readers this year. My selection for this week is LOVE ON THE BRAIN by Ali Hazelwood. It is a meme that I have loved participating in since I first started blogging, but as Jill is no longer actively posting, from now on I’ll be linking to Can’t Wait Wednesday, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, which is a spinoff of the original WoW meme. “Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which encourages fellow bloggers to spotlight upcoming releases that we’re excited about.
